يركز على إدراك الفرد لصحته الجسدية وخلوه من الأعراض الفسيولوجية المرتبطة بالتوتر، كالإعياء المزمن، واضطرابات النوم، والشكاوى الجسدية غير العضوية (الأعراض الجسدية النفسية / Somatization). تشير الدرجات المرتفعة لسوء التوافق إلى كثرة المخاوف المرضية والإحساس الدائم بالضعف الجسدي.

3. التوافق الاجتماعي (Social Adjustment)

يقيس مدى سهولة انخراط الفرد في الجماعات الاجتماعية، والمشاركة في الأنشطة العامة، والقدرة على تكوين صداقات وإدارتها دون الشعور بالخجل أو الانعزال أو الخوف الاجتماعي. يعبر سوء التوافق الاجتماعي عن الخجل المفرط، والميل إلى العزلة، والحرج عند الحديث أمام الآخرين، وانعدام الثقة في المواقف التفاعلية.

4. التوافق الانفعالي (Emotional Adjustment)

يُعنى بتقييم الاتزان والاستقرار الوجداني مقابل التقلب الانفعالي والمشاعر السلبية المزمنة، كالقلق، والاكتئاب، والشعور بالدونية، ونوبات الغضب أو الخوف المفاجئ. يمثل هذا البعد مؤشراً حيوياً على مستوى العصابية (Neuroticism) والهشاشة النفسية للفرد.

5. التوافق المهني (Occupational Adjustment) – في نسخ البالغين

يقيس مدى الرضا عن طبيعة العمل، والعلاقات مع الرؤساء والزملاء، والشعور بالإنجاز والكفاءة المهنية، والقدرة على التعامل مع ضغوط بيئة العمل.

الإطار النظري

يستند الاستبيان إلى منطلقات علم النفس الوظيفي (Functional Psychology) والنظرية الديناميكية والبيئية للتكيف، التي ترجع جذورها إلى أفكار ويليام جيمس وتشارلز داروين وجون ديوي حول تكيف الكائن الحي مع بيئته. كما يتقاطع المقياس بصورة جوهرية مع نظرية المجال (Field Theory) لـ كورت ليفين، والتي تؤكد أن السلوك هو محصلة تفاعل الفرد مع بيئته الكلية B = f(P, E).
